Trump accuses China of trade “rape” -

Donald Trump, the current front-runner of the United States Republican primaries, accused China of trade “raping” the United States at a rally in Indiana. Trump has made similar accusations against China throughout his campaign and even before he announced his bid. He is quoted, saying “We can’t continue to allow China to rape our country, and that’s what we’re doing”. According to his campaign manifesto, Trump plans on proposing “a better deal with China that helps American businesses and workers compete”. His main criticism of the Chinese is their manipulation of currency, which left the United States in a $365.7 billion trade deficit with China just last year. Claims have been made by other critics that the Chinese purposefully keep its currency at a inaccurately low level in order to give their exports and advantage in the US market.
