A hospital in the city of Aleppo, Syria was hit by an air strike committed by the Syrian government, leaving at least twenty people dead, although the number is likely to rise. The attacks occurred Wednesday morning and killed medical staff, civilians, and children. There has been an intensification of Syrian air strikes against rebel forces in the last week. Since last Friday, at least a hundred civilians have been killed by various means of strikes, bombings, and rocket fire. According to the UN special envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, about one Syrian is killed very 25 minutes and one is wounded every 13 minutes just in the last 48 hours of struggle between the government and rebel forces. The strikes by the government will most likely delay or possibly destroy any chances of resuming the peace-talks in Geneva.
