President of the European council, Donald Tusk, spoke in Greece in regards to economic migrants, saying “Do not come to Europe. Do not believe the smugglers. Do not risk your lives and your money. It is all for nothing.” His statement was made after meeting with Greece prime minister Alexis Tsipras. Greece has been receiving about 2,000 people a day and cannot properly support the large influx of people. Furthermore, about 10,000 people with hopes of migrating to northern European countries, such as Germany, are waiting at Greece’s border with Macedonia. During his travels after Greece, Donald Tusk will go to Turkey to have a meeting with President Recap Tayyip Eroğan. Many hope that the meeting will lead to an agreement between Turkey and the European Union for Turkey to receive a large amount of the migrants that have been rejected by European countries.
